Mello Entertainment: Cara Suites 7th Annual Charity Kids Christmas Party and Talent Show

Damion Melville had the honor of being a judge at the Cara Suites 7th Annual Charity Kids Christmas Party and Talent Show on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Each child was a true entertainer and did a great job performing and expressing their talents.

There were ten participants and the winners included a tie for second place:

First Place - Maria Rush of Claxton Bay Senior Anglican

Second Place - Karina Ramsaran of Union Claxton Bay
Third Place - Shineeka Molino of Claxton Bay Junior Anglican

Fourth Place - Joshua Ramnanansingh of Macaulay Government

The first place winner received the grand prize of a Desktop Computer and a hamper. The second place winners received a prize of $1,100 worth of Unit Trust Corporation units, and the fourth place winner received the prize of a hamper. Each child who performed for the Talent Show received $250 worth of Unit Trust Corporation units.

After the talent show, Damion asked Alaina Francois, of Cara Suites Hotel and Conference Centre about the Annual Charity Kids Christmas Party and Talent Show. Alaina expressed that they have hosted the Charity Kids Christmas Party and Talent show since 2003, and they collaborate with Primary schools in Claxton Bay, St. Margaret’s, Pointe-a-Pierre and Gasparillo. They focus on children who are less fortunate and each child is required to prepare a presentation about Christmas for the Talent Show. Alaina also emphasized on the commitment of management and staff to ensure that each child’s experience is memorable.
